WIZARDS 104, HEAT 70: Maurice Evans scored 18 points and John Wall had 12 assists as host Washington recorded its sixth straight victory by trouncing shorthanded Miami.

Kevin Seraphin and Nene added 15 points apiece for the Wizards, who last won six consecutive contests early in the 2007-08 season.

Norris Cole scored 14 points for the Heat, who rested forward LeBron James, guard Dwyane Wade and forward Chris Bosh with the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference already assured.

Wade is trying to heal a dislocated finger and Bosh has an ailing hamstring.

The Wizards shot 55.3 percent and dominated the contest with Miami’s top three players on the sidelines.

Washington led by three late in the first quarter before rolling off 10 consecutive points to take a 33-18 lead two-plus minutes into the second quarter. The Wizards led 57-32 at halftime and 80-50 entering the final quarter.

Cartier Martin scored 12 points and Jan Vesely added 11 for Washington.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wall has reached double digits in assists in five consecutive games … Miami shot just 35.8 percent from the field … Wizards guard Jordan Crawford sat out with an ankle injury … The Heat committed 22 turnovers.
