GRIZZLIES 104, SUNS 93: Rudy Gay scored a season-high 32 points and Zach Randolph added 17 off the bench to help Memphis win for the ninth time in 11 games.

O.J. Mayo scored 15 points on three 3-pointers and Mike Conley chipped in 12 points and seven assists to help the Grizzlies keep pace in the race for the fourth seed in the Western Conference.

Marcin Gortat scored 15 of his 19 points in the first half and Shannon Brown had 18 to carry the Suns, who had won five of their past six.

After Sebastian Telfair leveled the score at 87-87 in the fourth quarter, the Grizzlies ran off six straight points. Conley made a pair of free throws, Gay had a bucket and Mayo hit a jumper for the 93-87 lead with 4:33 remaining.

Phoenix got as close as five points minutes later but Dante Cunningham made baskets on three straight possessions and Mayo hit a short jumper for the 104-93 advantage.

Both teams were hot from the floor in the first half, shooting an identical 58.5 percent (24 of 41). The Grizzlies led 59-53 at the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis moved to 12-2 its past 14 home games. … Randolph finished one rebound short of his fourth consecutive double-double. … Suns point guard Steve Nash dished out a game-high 10 assists but also committed seven turnovers.
