Daniel Green set a career high with 24 points as the San Antonio Spurs remained unbeaten at home, fending off the Denver Nuggets 121-117 Saturday night.

Green went 9 for 13 from the field and added seven rebounds to pace the Spurs, who have won six of the last seven meetings between the teams. Richard Jefferson had 19 points on the strength of five 3-pointers, while Tony Parker also had 19 points.

Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets with 31 points while Ty Lawson added 20 points and 10 assists.

With Denver trailing by seven following a high-scoring first half, Gallinari single-handedly kept San Antonio from pulling away. The veteran swingman scored nine straight points early in the third quarter, then hit a 3-pointer near the midway point of the period to keep the deficit at single digits.

Gallinari finished with 16 points in the quarter, but Denver still trailed 94-85 entering the fourth.

The Nuggets whittled the deficit down to two on a Rudy Fernandez 3-pointer midway through the period, but that was the last Denver field goal for more than 3 1/2 minutes. San Antonio went back up by seven during that span, and Jefferson put the game away with a 3-pointer with less than two minutes remaining.
