Amar'e Stoudemire scored 22 points and the New York Knicks used a 16-0 run in the second quarter to rout the host Detroit Pistons 103-80 on Saturday night.

New York has won two straight games for the first time this season after losing four of five.

Brandon Knight led Detroit with 19 points. The Pistons, who were blown out at Philadelphia on Friday, have lost three in a row.

New York needed a 3-pointer from Carmelo Anthony with 15.9 seconds remaining to defeat Washington on Friday. No late dramatics were necessary against the Pistons.

Mike Bibby's 3-pointer at the 9:20 mark of the second quarter put the Knicks ahead 35-32. Leading by four with 7:10 to play in the period, New York took control as Bibby hit two more 3-pointers while Stoudemire and Anthony scored six points apiece. The run gave New York a 55-35 lead at the 4:30 mark.

Anthony, who sustained a back injury Friday, scored 13 points. Bibby added 16 and made all four of his 3-point attempts.

Greg Monroe scored 15 points for the Pistons. Point guard Rodney Stuckey missed his second straight game with a strained groin.
