Danny Granger scored 15 points and Darren Collison added 14 as the visiting Indiana Pacers snapped the Boston Celtics' four-game winning streak with an 87-74 victory Friday night.
Paul Hill came off the bench to score 13, including consecutive 3-pointers in a decisive 8-0 run, as the Pacers ended a string of seven straight defeats in Boston.
Roy Hibbert had his second straight double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds for Indiana, which bounced back from a 35-point shellacking at Miami on Wednesday.
Ray Allen, returning from a one-game illness, scored a game-high 23 for Boston (4-4), which suffered its first home loss.
A jumper by Allen pulled the Celtics within 65-60 early in the fourth quarter, but Jeff Foster scored inside and Hill nailed back-to-back 3-pointers to push the lead to 13.
Boston matched a franchise record for fewest points in a first half with 25 and was fortunate to still be in the game at intermission, trailing by only eight.
The Celtics shot 3 of 19 in the second quarter and were mugged on the backboards in the first half by a 30-18 count.
Indiana helped keep the game close by missing 14 of its last 15 shots in the first quarter to leave the teams tied 14-14 after the opening 12 minutes.
