Steve Nash had 18 points and 10 assists as the Phoenix Suns spoiled the coaching debut of Tyrone Corbin with a 95-83 victory over the Utah Jazz on Friday night.
Hakim Warrick had 16 points while Marcin Gortat added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Phoenix (26-25), which has won three in row, six of its last seven and the last four meetings with Utah.
The Jazz (31-24) began a new era as coach Jerry Sloan resigned Thursday after 23 years with the team.
Corbin's team seemed excited early in taking a 9-0 lead. The Jazz led by as many as 15 in the first half, but the Suns rallied in the third, outscoring the opposition 27-13. The Suns boosted the lead in the fourth as the Jazz missed eight of nine at one point.
Robin Lopez had 14 points and six rebounds as Phoenix limited Utah to 27 second-half points.
Deron Williams had 16 points, 14 assists and eight rebounds for Utah, which suffered its fourth consecutive home loss. C.J. Miles had 19 points and Paul Millsap scored 16.
