Matt Bonner’s 3-point basket with 49.7 seconds left in overtime gave San Antonio its first lead of the contest as the Spurs stretched their winning streak to 12 games with a 113-109 victory over the host Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.

San Antonio (13-1) trailed by 21 points early in the third quarter before rallying to beat the Timberwolves for the 13th consecutive time. Bonner’s 3-pointer gave the Spurs a 111-109 lead and Antonio McDyess added two free throws with one second remaining.

Kevin Love had a career-best 32 points and grabbed 22 rebounds to lead Minnesota (4-12).

San Antonio’s Gary Neal was fouled while shooting a 3-pointer and hit all three throws with 16.2 seconds left in regulation to force the extra session.

Manu Ginobili scored 26 points to lead San Antonio. Richard Jefferson added 19 points and Tony Parker added 18.

Darko Milicic had 22 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots for Minnesota. Wesley Johnson added 15 points.

San Antonio’s Tim Duncan grabbed 13 rebounds.

Minnesota led 55-41 at halftime and increased the lead to 64-43 on Michael Beasley’s basket just three minutes into the third quarter. The Timberwolves led 82-71 entering the final quarter.
