Kevin Martin scored 33 points, including 11 in overtime, as the Houston Rockets stayed in the playoff hunt and handed the visiting San Antonio Spurs their sixth consecutive loss, 119-114 Friday night.

San Antonio (57-19) had not lost six in a row since April 10-20, 1997, or pre Tim Duncan. The Spurs are just two games ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers for the top spot in the West.

In overtime, Martin's 3-pointer with 1:42 remaining put the Rockets (40-36) up 115-114. Manu Ginobili had two turnovers and Martin sank four free throws in the final 45 seconds for the cushion.

Tony Parker was outstanding, scoring 31 points on 15-of-23 shooting for the Spurs. Duncan had 23 points and 13 rebounds, and Ginobili also scored 23.

Luis Scola had 21 points and 14 rebounds, Kyle Lowry scored 14, and Patrick Patterson and Courtney Lee each had 12 for Houston. Chuck Hayes added 12 rebounds and 10 points.

Ginobili gave the Spurs a 105-104 lead with 1:31 left in regulation on two free throws. After Lowry missed, Parker's layup put the Spurs up 107-104. Lee's layup made it 107-106. Duncan then made the first of two free throws, but missed the second, and an 18-footer by Lowry tied the score at 108 with 3.9 seconds left, sending the game to overtime.
