The win was Charlotte's first at home in six games.

Michael Beasley scored 28 points and and Kevin Love added 20 to lead Minnesota.

Minnesota trailed 84-81 going into the fourth quarter, but took an 86-85 on Anthony Tolliver's layup with 10:11 to play. The lead reached a margin of nine, but Wallace's two free throws with 58.4 seconds cut the lead to 108-107.

D.J. Augustin's steal and layup with 49.6 seconds left gave Charlotte a 109-108 lead.

Beasley missed a drive to the basket, but put in the rebound, giving Minnesota the lead once again. Wallace was fouled on a drive with 31.6 seconds left and made both shots, putting Charlotte ahead by one.

Beasley lost the ball on Minnesota's next possession and Jackson was fouled. He made the first free throw, but missed the second and a scramble for the ball ensued.

A jump ball was called and Minnesota was awarded possession when the ball went of bounds. Wesley Johnson was fouled with 3.5 seconds left, but missed the first free throw. He intentionally missed the second shot and Tyrus Thomas got the rebound and was fouled.

Thomas, who scored 20 points, split the pair and Minnesota's last shot was short.
