Kevin Love scored 31 points and grabbed 31 rebounds and Michael Beasley added a game-high 35 points to lead the Timberwolves to a 112-103 win over the New York Knicks at Minnesota Friday night.

The Timberwolves rallied back from a 21-point deficit on the way to their second straight win.

The loss was the fourth straight for New York (3-6) which was led by 25 points by Danilo Gallinari.

The Knicks, playing without Ronny Turiaf who is nursing a knee injury, also got 22 points by Raymond Felton.

New York seemed to be in complete control when Landry Fields’ 3-pointer in the third quarter gave them a 78-57 lead.

But Minnesota kept chipping away and eventually took a 90-87 lead on the heels of a 15-3 run. The Timberwolves then took control 103-94 on a dunk by Beasley.

Wilson Chandler hit a 3-pointer for the New York on the next possession but Beasley responded with a 3-pointer of his own to make it 106-97 with 2:30 to play.

Love’s monumental night was the first time a player had a 30-30 performance since Moses Malone accomplished the feat in 1982.

All five starters for New York scored in double figures but only one reserve, Toney Douglas, scored at all.
