Elton Brand had 20 points and seven rebounds and Jrue Holiday added 19 points and eight assists, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 106-96 road victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday.

The 76ers (2-5) were down 92-90 with 6:46 left, but they closed the game on a 16-6 run to finish off their second win in three games after an 0-4 start while halting New York's two-game winning streak.

Evan Turner had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the 76ers while Lou Williams added 19 points off the bench, going 12-for-14 from the free-throw line. Andres Nocioni added 11 points.

Amar'e Stoudemire had 21 points and 15 rebounds for the Knicks (3-3) while point guard Raymond Felton just missed his third consecutive double-double, finishing with seven points and 10 assists.

Reserve guard Toney Douglas scored in double figures off the bench for the sixth consecutive game for the Knicks, scoring 17 points on 5-of-13 shooting.

Philadelphia's Andre Iguodala missed the game with a strained right Achilles' tendon, ending his streak of 252 consecutive games started.
