Jesse Winker's grand slam -- one of five Cincinnati homers -- paved the way for the visiting Reds to end their three-game losing streak with a 12-3 win over the Atlanta Braves on Thursday.

Cincinnati salvaged the finale of the three-game set but lost the season series to the Braves 4-3.

The Reds started the second-inning rally with two outs on a pair of singles and a walk. Winker then drove a slider from Atlanta starter Kyle Muller into the right-field stands for his second career grand slam. It was his 24th homer.

Winker went 3-for-4 and paced a 14-hit attack. Tyler Stephenson had three hits, including his seventh homer, and Jonathan India and Tyler Naquin each had two hits.

The winning pitcher was Vladimir Gutierrez (8-3), who won his fourth consecutive start. Gutierrez pitched six innings and allowed one run on five hits, with two walks and six strikeouts.

Muller (2-4) was knocked out after 2 1/3 innings. He threw 72 pitches and allowed a career-high six runs on five hits, with three walks and one strikeout.

The Reds scored five times in the third to put the game away. Eugenio Suarez laced an RBI double with one out and Naquin followed with a three-run shot, his 14th on the season. India added his 14th homer for a 9-1 lead.

Cincinnati later got homers from a pair of Atlanta natives -- Kyle Farmer in the sixth and Stephenson in the ninth.

Cincinnati first baseman Joey Votto went 1-for-3 and needs only three hits to reach 2,000. He had one walk to break a tie with Ty Cobb for 53rd on the all-time list at 1,261; Jack Clark is next with 1,262.

The Braves scored a run in the first inning on Dansby Swanson's RBI single and added another run in the seventh on Ozzie Albies' solo shot. The homer was the 20th on the season for Albies and 80th of his career, setting a franchise record for career homers for a second baseman.
