Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Yonny Hernandez hit run-scoring singles with two outs in the top of the 10th inning as the Texas Rangers snapped a 14-game road losing streak with a 5-4 victory against the host Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night.

Jason Martin and Adolis Garcia homered for the Rangers, who won for the first time in their past seven games overall.

Mitch Haniger and Kyle Seager went deep for the Mariners, who lost for the fifth time in their past six games. Trailing by a run, Seattle loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the ninth but was able to score only once -- on a walk to Jake Fraley.

It looked like Mariners right-hander Erik Swanson (0-2) might get out of the 10th unscathed after getting the first two batters to pop out. But Kiner-Falefa grounded a single into right to score "ghost" runner Jason Martin from second and Hernandez followed by hitting a shallow fly ball to left that just eluded a diving Fraley.

Rangers left-hander Brett Martin (3-3) allowed a run-scoring single by leadoff hitter Ty France in the bottom of the inning before getting Abraham Toro to ground into a double play. Jake Bauers singled before Jarred Kelenic grounded out to end the game.

The Rangers took a 3-2 lead in the top of the ninth as Garcia led off with a home run to left-center field off right-hander Paul Sewald.

The Mariners tied the score in the bottom of the inning. Bauers and Kelenic led off with walks against right-hander Spencer Patton. Pinch-hitter Cal Raleigh blooped a single into shallow left field to load the bases. Fraley then walked to bring home the tying run, leaving the bases loaded with no outs. But Patton struck out both J.P. Crawford and Haniger, and Brett Martin got Seager to fly out to center field to force extra innings.

Martin homered in the second inning off right-hander Logan Gilbert to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead before Haniger and Seager went back-to-back in the fourth off lefty Kolby Allard to put the Mariners up 2-1.

The Rangers tied the score in the fifth as Jonah Heim led off by grounding a single to right. An out later, DJ Peters lined a run-scoring double to right to make it 2-2.
