Milwaukee's Avisall Garcia had three hits, including a three-run homer, to help the visiting Brewers erase an early four-run deficit and beat the Atlanta Braves 9-5 on Friday.

The Brewers hit three home runs and extended their winning streak to four games in the opener of a three-game weekend series. Milwaukee has outscored its opponents 37-8 in its past four games, putting up at least seven in each of those contests.

Eduardo Escobar, playing his first game since being acquired by the Brewers, hit his 23rd homer of the season in the ninth inning. He finished 1-for-3 with two walks and two runs while batting in the cleanup spot.

The winning pitcher was Brad Boxberger (4-2), who tossed two scoreless, hitless innings after starter Corbin Burnes was knocked out after four-plus innings. Burnes gave up five runs on nine hits (matching his career high), two walks and six strikeouts.

Jake Cousins, Devin Williams and Brent Suter each covered a scoreless inning to help keep Atlanta off the scoreboard over the final five frames. Suter struck out the side to end the game.

Atlanta starter Touki Toussaint (1-2) had his worst outing since rejoining the rotation. He lasted only 3 1/3 innings and allowed seven runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

The Braves scored four runs in the first inning. Freddie Freeman drove in the first run with a single, and he scored on Austin Riley's 22nd home run. Dansby Swanson singled, stole second and came home on Stephen Vogt's single to right.

Milwaukee tied the game 4-4 in the third inning. Omar Narvaez drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly and Garcia hit his 18th homer, over the left field wall, to level the score.

The Brewers scored four more times in the fourth. Kolten Wong doubled home a run and scored on Willy Adames' two-run homer, his 12th. Tyrone Taylor drove in the final run of the frame on a single to left.

The Braves cut the deficit to 8-5 in the fifth when walks to Freeman and Riley were followed by Adam Duvall's RBI single. The inning ended when Brewers center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. made a nice catch on Vogt's fly ball and threw out Riley at third base.
