Rowdy Tellez went 3-for-4 with two homers and three RBIs as the Milwaukee Brewers slugged their way to a 6-1 victory over the visiting Chicago White Sox on Saturday.

Kolten Wong and Tyrone Taylor also homered for Milwaukee, which recorded the 4,000th win in franchise history.

Corbin Burnes (6-4) allowed one run on four hits over six innings in the matchup between two division leaders. He struck out six with two walks.

Wong hit a leadoff homer on the first offering of the game from Carlos Rodon (8-4), who lasted just four innings in his shortest outing of the season.

Taylor homered for the second straight game to begin the second inning. The 27-year-old rookie hit his first career grand slam Friday in Milwaukee's 7-1 series-opening victory.

Milwaukee added two runs in the fourth. Taylor scored from third on a Tellez fielder's-choice grounder and Willy Adames drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs.

Rodon gave up four runs (two earned) on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts.

The White Sox pushed a run across in a lengthy fifth inning that was marked by an appeal play, a replay challenge and a separate call to New York to confirm the challenge was allowable.

Everything was prompted after Chicago baserunner Yoan Moncada missed home plate while trying to score on a bases-loaded grounder.

After Moncada was ruled out following a 12-minute delay, Burnes walked in a run before retiring the next two batters to end the inning.

Tellez belted a leadoff homer in the sixth off Jose Ruiz for his first blast since joining the Brewers in a trade from the Toronto Blue Jays on July 6.

The first baseman went deep again with one out in the eighth, a 410-foot line drive shot over the center field fence off Reynaldo Lopez.

Tellez is 7-for-13 with two doubles, two homers and six RBIs in five games against the White Sox this season.

Brian Goodwin and Andrew Vaughn had two hits each for Chicago, which has totaled two runs and 11 hits in the first two games of the series.
