Bryce Harper and Rhys Hoskins each had a homer and two RBIs and starting pitcher Zach Eflin held San Diego to two runs over six innings Saturday night as the Phillies defeated the visiting Padres 4-2 after two rain delays in Philadelphia.

Eflin gave up three hits and two walks over six innings. The Padres had only four baserunners over the last eight innings after Manny Machado gave the Padres a quick 2-0 lead, following an infield single by Fernando Tatis Jr. with his 13th home run of the season with two out in the first. Two of those four baserunners were eliminated by double-play grounders.

Right-hander Eflin (3-6) got credit for the win, snapping a five-decision losing streak. The Phillies had been 1-7 in Eflin's last eight starts.

Left-hander Ranger Suarez got his first major league save with a perfect ninth after getting the win Friday night. The Phillies had blown saves in six of their last seven games.

Harper and Hoskins tied the game in the second with solo homers. Harper opened the inning with his 14th. Hoskins tied the game with one out with his 18th homer.

The Phillies broke the tie with two runs in the sixth.

J.T. Realmuto started the game-winning rally with a one-out triple and scored on Harper's sacrifice fly to right. Andrew McCutchen then singled and stole second. Hoskins doubled into the left field corner to score McCutchen -- after Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer failed to catch Hoskins' foul pop fly near first.

The Phillies missed a chance to extend their lead to 5-2 in the bottom of the seventh when Alec Bohm was thrown out at the plate on a relay from right fielder Jurickson Profar to second baseman Jake Cronenworth to catcher Victor Caratini on Jean Segura's double into the corner.

Yu Darvish (7-3) suffered the loss, giving up four runs on six hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in six innings.
