Josh Reddick had five hits and three RBIs as the Houston Astros defeated the host Kansas City Royals 12-3 to complete a three-game sweep on Sunday.

Abraham Toro also drove in three runs for Houston.

The Astros (98-53) are tied with the Yankees for the best record in baseball.

Wade Miley (14-5), who hadn't gotten out of the first inning in his past two starts, got back on the winning track. He allowed two runs on seven hits in six innings. He struck out four and walked two.

Kansas City starter Jakob Junis (9-14) allowed five runs on seven hits in 2 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out two.

Kansas City's Jorge Soler, who has smashed the franchise record with 44 home runs this season, put the Royals on the board in the first with his first triple of the season, scoring Adalberto Mondesi.

The lead didn't last long as Yuli Gurriel launched a 414-foot home run to lead off the second. Toro then put the Astros ahead with an RBI single, scoring Josh Reddick. With two outs, Michael Brantley singled in Aledmys Diaz with the Astros' third run.

Toro added a two-run double in the third to extend the Astros' lead to 5-1.

Reddick added to that lead in the fifth with a two-run home run just inside the right-field foul pole. The left-handed batting Reddick, who has more than three times the number of at-bats against right-handers (373) as he does against lefties (103), hit his fifth home run against a lefty, compared to eight against righties.

The Royals got a run back in the fifth as Whit Merrifield drove in Nick Dini with a two-out single.

Houston added a run in the seventh on an RBI fielder's choice. They got four more in the eighth on Kyle Tucker's two-run home run, a triple by Myles Straw and Reddick's single.

The Royals added a run in the ninth.
