Aaron Judge hit a two-run homer, and Gleyber Torres added a solo homer as the New York Yankees beat the visiting Texas Rangers 4-1 Wednesday night.

Judge became the fifth Yankee to reach 20 homers this year while Torres tied Gary Sanchez for the team lead with his 34th as New York won for the eighth time in 10 games. The Yankees also improved to 18-0-3 in their past 21 home series since dropping two of three April 12-14 to the Chicago White Sox.

New York began the series by getting blanked for the first time in 221 games on Monday, then hit a combined seven homers while winning the final two games, raising its season total to 263. The Yankees are four away from matching their all-time record for homers set last season.

Judge gave the Yankees a 2-0 lead with one out in the third inning when he hammered a 97 mph fastball from Lance Lynn (14-10) into the right-center-field seats. He reached 20 homers for the third straight season, and it was his seventh homer in his past 12 games.

Torres upped the lead to 3-0 with one out in the fourth when he drove Lynn's 1-1 fastball into the left-center-field seats. It was his 11th homer in his past 22 games.

Austin Romine added an RBI double for New York in the sixth.

Chad Green allowed two hits in two scoreless innings as New York's opener. Luis Cessa (2-1) followed by allowing two hits in three shutout innings.

Four relievers (Adam Ottavino, Tommy Kahnle, Zack Britton and Cory Gearrin) followed Cessa by pitching an inning apiece.

Rougned Odor homered off Gearrin in the ninth inning for Texas, which scored both runs of its final two games of the series in the ninth.

Lynn, who spent the second half of last season with the Yankees, allowed three runs on five hits in five innings. He struck out seven, walked three and allowed multiple homers for only the third time this season.

Texas dropped to 0-9-2 in its past 11 road series since sweeping a three-game series June 25-27 in Detroit. The Rangers fell to 10-19 since Aug. 7.
