Kyle Schwarber belted two home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in a career-best seven runs as the Chicago Cubs beat the Milwaukee Brewers 11-4 to salvage the finale of their three-game series on Sunday.

After watching their bullpen squander late leads in the first two games, Schwarber and the Cubs' offense put Sunday's game out of reach.

Schwarber, batting eighth, added a three-run homer run and a single and Victor Caratini hit a pinch-hit, three-run homer to make 10-3 in the sixth.

Chicago reliever Brad Brach (4-3) retired the only batter he faced for the win.

Cubs starter Jose Quintana was lifted with two outs in the fifth and allowed three runs on four hits.

Milwaukee's Zach Davies (8-4) gave up seven runs on four hits and three walks in five innings.

Christian Yelich of the Brewers extended his hitting streak to 16 games.

Chicago went ahead in the second.

Javier Baez and Jason Heyward singled with one out. After Ian Happ walked, Schwarber sent a first-pitch fastball 473-feet to right, the longest grand slam since Statcast's introduction in 2015.

The Cubs have seven grand slams on the season, the most in the National League.

Chicago made it 7-0 in fourth when Schwarber came up with one out and two men on and sent a liner to center for his 24th home run of the season.

Milwaukee rallied in the fifth, loading the bases with no outs on Yasmani Grandal and Orlando Arcia walks sandwiched around Jesus Aguilar's single. With one out, Manny Pina singled home a run, Lorenzo Cain added a sacrifice fly and Yelich doubled home Arcia to make it 7-3.

In the Chicago sixth, Happ walked with two outs against Jeremy Jeffress, Schwarber was safe with a single after an out call was overturned upon review, and Caratini homered to right to make it 10-3.
