Aaron Hicks, Gleyber Torres and Edwin Encarnacion homered, and Didi Gregorius had a single, a double, a triple and three RBIs to lead the New York Yankees to a 10-7 victory over the Minnesota Twins in the rubber game of a three-game series on Wednesday night in Minneapolis.

Mike Tauchman also doubled and tripled and drove in two runs, and Encarnacion, Hicks, Aaron Judge each had two of the Yankees' 15 hits.

Nestor Cortes Jr. (4-0) picked up the win, allowing one run on three hits in 3 1/3 innings of relief. New York starter J.A. Happ, despite being staked to a 9-3 lead in the fourth, was pulled after 3 1/3 innings after allowing six runs on six hits and two walks. Aroldis Chapman pitched a scoreless ninth to pick up his 26th save.

Nelson Cruz homered for the third straight game, and Eddie Rosario and Marwin Gonzalez also homered for Minnesota, which saw its American League Central lead shrink to two games over the Cleveland Indians. Cruz, Rosario, Luis Arraez and Jonathan Schoop each finished with two hits.

Jake Odorizzi (11-5), who blanked the Yankees on two hits over six innings in a 7-3 victory at Yankee Stadium on May 4, took the loss, allowing a season-high nine runs on 10 hits and two walks in four innings. He struck out seven.

Minnesota took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on Rosario's 22nd homer of the season, driving in Cruz, who had singled.

The Yankees then parlayed a triple, two doubles and two walks into four runs in the second.

Jake Cave's sacrifice fly cut the Twins' deficit to 4-3 in the bottom of the second, but the Yankees came right back in the third with solo homers by Hicks and Torres to extend their lead. They made it 9-3 in the fourth on an RBI single by Hicks and a two-run triple by Gregorius.

Minnesota pulled within 9-6 in the fourth on a two-run homer by Gonzalez, a 420-foot drive into the second deck in left, and a sacrifice fly by Garver. Cruz made it 9-7 an inning later with his 22nd home run of the season, a 424-foot drive to back of the bullpen in left-center.

Encarnacion ended the scoring with his 30th home run of the season leading off the ninth. It was the 17th homer of his career at Target Field, tying Salvador Perez for the most by a visiting player in Target Field history.
