Kyle Seager's two-run homer broke a tie in the third inning and the Seattle Mariners built a 10-3 lead and then held on for a 10-9 victory against the visiting Baltimore Orioles on Friday night.
Dylan Moore and Mac Williamson also homered, and leadoff hitter Mallex Smith went 3-for-3 with a double and scored four runs for the Mariners, who have won three consecutive games for the first time since April 18-20.
The Orioles suffered their 10th straight defeat.
Mariners right-hander Mike Leake (7-6) struggled but earned his 100th career victory. In 5 1/3 innings, Leake allowed eight runs (seven earned) on 11 hits, with no walks and two strikeouts.
Seattle right-hander Austin Adams pitched two scoreless innings of relief and lefty Roenis Elias worked the ninth for his ninth save of the season.
Orioles left-hander Sean Gilmartin (0-1), making his 2019 debut, allowed five runs on seven hits in 2 1/3 innings. He walked two, struck out one and allowed two home runs.
The Orioles took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first on a two-run double by Pedro Severino and an RBI single by Chance Sisco.
The Mariners got a run back in the bottom of the inning as Smith led off with a double and scored on J.P. Crawford's single.
Seattle tied it in the second as Moore hit a solo homer with one out and Smith singled, stole second, reached third on a throwing error and scored again on a Crawford single.
The Mariners took the lead with a five-run third, thanks to Seager's two-run shot to center, an RBI single by Smith and a two-run double by Domingo Santana.
Seattle made it 10-3 in the fifth as Williamson hit a solo homer and Daniel Vogelbach added a two-out single to score Smith, who had walked and stolen second.
The Orioles scored five times in the sixth and once more in the seventh to pull within a run.
Sisco hit an RBI double and Dwight Smith Jr. and Hanser Alberto added run-scoring singles in the sixth. Severino added a run-scoring single in the seventh to make it 10-9.
