Rays 16, Yankees 1:
Wil Myers and Ryan Hanigan both homered twice and Evan Longoria added a two-run shot as Tampa Bay rolled to its second straight win over visiting New York.

Chris Archer (2-1) had no problem making the run support hold up, yielding a run and three hits in 6 2/3 innings to improve to 4-0 lifetime versus the Yankees. Hanigan also delivered a two-run single and drove in six runs, Longoria added an RBI double and a sacrifice fly, and Ben Zobrist recorded three hits and three runs scored for the Rays, who entered with 13 homers in their first 17 games before jumping all over Yankees starter Ivan Nova.

Nova (2-2) gave up four home runs for the first time in his career and eight runs overall before being removed due to right elbow soreness two batters into the fifth. Kelly Johnson had a run-scoring double for New York, which has been outscored 27-2 in the last 15 innings of the series and resorted to using infielder Dean Anna to pitch the eighth.

Myers started the scoring with his first home run of the year in the bottom of the second and Hanigan led off the third with a blast to left to make it 2-0. Longoria's drive on the first pitch he saw later in the frame opened up a 4-0 advantage and Hanigan drove a 3-2 offering out of the park in the fourth for a two-run shot.

Johnson's RBI in the fifth got the Yankees on the board before Tampa Bay broke it open in the bottom of the frame on Longoria's sacrifice fly and a three-run bomb by Myers, who recorded his third career two-homer game. Four more runs scored in the sixth and Hanigan drove in two runs against Anna in the eighth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Yankees announced Nova will undergo further diagnostic tests. ... Hanigan has 23 home runs in 488 career games, but has still managed to record three multi-homer games. ... Anna gave up two runs and three hits in his inning of work.
