Mets 11, Phillies 2: Daniel Murphy slammed a three-run homer among his three hits to lift host New York in the rubber match of the three-game series.

Lucas Duda added a two-run blast and also drove in three runs while Ruben Tejada had three hits and an RBI as the Mets broke out of their offensive funk by scoring more than three runs for only the second time in 12 games. Zack Wheeler (6-8) permitted two runs over 6 2/3 innings to improve to 3-0 in his last six starts.

Jimmy Rollins delivered a pinch-hit homer and Ryan Howard had an RBI double for Philadelphia, which lost for the 12th time in its last 16 games in New York. Kyle Kendrick (5-11) allowed four runs on seven hits over six innings before the Phillies' bullpen imploded.

The Phillies opened the scoring in the fifth when Ben Revere led off with a double, stole third and scored on a double to left-center by Howard, who ended an 0-for-10 drought in the series. New York answered with four in the bottom of the inning, loading the bases and tying it on Kendrick's wild pitch before Murphy drilled an outside fastball into the seats in left-center for a 4-1 edge.

Rollins cut the deficit to 4-2 with a pinch-hit blast off Wheeler to lead off the seventh, but the Mets broke it open with five runs in the bottom of the frame. Travis d'Arnaud had an RBI double and Duda, Tejada and reliever Jeurys Familia contributed run-scoring singles to make it 9-2 before Duda clubbed his 19th homer in the eighth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Duda extended his RBI streak to a career-high six games as the Mets improved to a league-best 23-13 in day games. ... Rollins has registered at least 15 homers and 15 stolen bases in a season for the sixth time in his career, moving past Von Hayes for the second most in team history (Bobby Abreu, 8). ... OF Domonic Brown and C Carlos Ruiz were not in the starting lineup for the Phillies, who continue their seven-game road trip in Washington on Thursday night while the Mets will have a day off before hosting San Francisco on Friday in the opener of a four-game set.
