Mets 12, Yankees 7: Daniel Murphy belted a three-run homer and drove in four runs and Curtis Granderson added a three-run shot as the visiting Mets made it six consecutive wins in the Subway Series.

David Wright had a pair of RBI singles among his three hits and Lucas Duda had two hits and a run-scoring double to lift the Mets to their third straight victory following a five-game losing streak. Daisuke Matsuzaka (1-0) pitched 3 2/3 innings of one-run ball in relief of starter Zack Wheeler, who gave up five runs and six walks while throwing a career-high 118 pitches over 4 1/3 innings.

Brian McCann went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and three RBIs and Yangervis Solarte had a solo blast for the Yankees, who absorbed their season-high fourth consecutive defeat to drop back to .500 (19-19) for the first time since April 12. Vidal Nuño (1-1) was tagged for seven runs - five earned - on four hits and four walks in only 3 1/3 innings.

Granderson's three-run blast - his second homer in as many nights - capped a four-run first inning for the Mets, but the Yankees answered with three in the bottom of the inning, getting a two-run shot from McCann. The Mets extended the lead on sacrifice flies by Juan Lagares and Murphy and Wright's second RBI single off reliever Alfredo Aceves before Brett Gardner's two-out RBI single in the bottom of the fourth cut the deficit to 7-4.

Ruben Tejada delivered a two-out single to plate a run for the Mets before Murphy clubbed a three-run shot that hit near the top of the foul pole in right to make it 11-4 in the top of the fifth. Wheeler couldn't stand prosperity, however, and was yanked after surrendering Alfonso Soriano's RBI single in the bottom of the frame.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Yankees manager Joe Girardi was ejected between the fifth and sixth innings. ... Wright's first-inning run-scoring single was the 900th RBI of his career while Yankees 1B Mark Teixeira collected his 13th RBI in 14 games with his run-scoring single in the first. ... Granderson's two homers in two days at Yankee Stadium doubled his total in 19 games at Citi Field. ... Yankees DH Carlos Beltran received a cortisone shot to alleviate the pain from a bone spur in his right elbow that could require surgery. The team will wait 2-3 days to see how Beltran responds. ... Yankees RF Ichiro Suzuki (back) missed his second straight game and RH Shawn Kelley (back) was placed on the 15-day disabled list.
