Angels 14, Twins 4: Howie Kendrick finished a double shy of the cycle and drove in four runs while Mike Trout hit a two-run homer and scored three times as visiting Los Angeles completed a four-game sweep.

The Angels have won 10 of 12 with their latest victory coming courtesy of a 19-hit attack that included three from Kendrick and two apiece from Erick Aybar, Albert Pujols, C.J. Cron, Shawn O'Malley, Efren Navarro and Trout. C.J. Wilson (11-9) yielded three runs, four hits and four walks over 6 1/3 innings with six strikeouts to earn his first win in four starts and help Los Angeles move seven games north of second-place Oakland in the American League West.

Each of Minnesota's first two pitchers allowed five runs - Logan Darnell (0-2), who lasted 4 2/3 innings, and fellow rookie A.J. Achter, who barely escaped one inning of relief in his second career appearance. Aaron Hicks drove in two runs and Kennys Vargas homered for the Twins, who have lost 12 of 15.

Kendrick's second-inning homer gave the Angels a 1-0 lead and Trout's third-inning blast knotted the score at 3. Los Angeles took command with a three-run fifth, highlighted by Kendrick's two-run triple, and then added six more runs in the sixth.

The sixth-inning uprising began with Cron's two-run shot to left and ended with Chris Iannetta's two-run base hit to right-center. Kendrick's RBI single in the seventh pushed the advantage to 14-3.

GAME NOTEBOOK: O'Malley recorded an RBI infield single in his first major league at-bat in the seventh and reached on another infield hit in the ninth. ... Los Angeles OF Josh Hamilton (shoulder) was scratched from the starting lineup. ...
