Angels 3, Rangers 2 (10): Howie Kendrick delivered an RBI double with none out in the 10th inning as host Los Angeles clinched the series win.

C.J. Cron belted a solo homer and Efren Navarro had an RBI for the Angels, who defeated Texas for just the seventh time in 24 meetings since the beginning of last season. Hank Conger went 2-for-3 and scored a run while Mike Morin (1-1) struck out three in the top of the 10th to record his first major-league victory.

Shin-Soo Choo homered and drove in both runs for the Rangers, who have lost four in a row and nine of their last 13 contests. Nick Martinez, who was perfect through five innings, allowed two runs and three hits in seven frames before Neal Cotts (2-4) yielded a run in two-plus innings.

Texas took an early lead as Leonys Martin led off the game with a double and advanced on a groundout before scoring on a grounder by Choo. The run held up until the sixth, when Conger hit a leadoff double to end Martinez's bid for a perfect game and came home on Navarro's groundout.

Cron put Los Angeles ahead as he began the eighth with his second homer in as many days, but Choo kicked off the ninth against Kevin Jepsen by depositing a 1-0 offering over the wall in center field to forge a 2-2 tie. Josh Hamilton led off the 10th with an infield single off Cotts before Kendrick greeted Jason Frasor with a double into the left-center field gap to plate the winning run.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rangers DH Alex Rios was ejected in the fourth and LF Michael Choice was tossed in the 10th, each for arguing balls and strikes. ...
