Angels 4, Blue Jays 3: Erick Aybar capped a three-hit night by leading off the ninth with a triple and scoring the tiebreaking run on Raul Ibanez's sacrifice fly as visiting Los Angeles snapped Toronto's five-game winning streak.

Aybar also had a pair of ground-rule doubles and Mike Trout belted a solo homer as the Angels won their fifth straight at Rogers Centre. Joe Smith (2-0) got the win despite giving up Jose Reyes' tying homer in the eighth before Ernesto Frieri worked a perfect ninth for his fourth save

Reyes had three hits and scored twice and Melky Cabrera went 2-for-3 to boost his average to .338 for the Blue Jays, who have dropped eight of the last nine meetings with Los Angeles. Brett Cecil (0-3), Toronto's fourth pitcher, took the loss.

Reyes led off the first with a single, moved to second on a walk and came around on back-to-back wild pitches by Garrett Richards for a 1-0 lead, but Los Angeles responded in its next at-bat as Efren Navarro doubled with two outs and scored on Collin Cowgill's single. Trout led off the top of the third with a homer but Cabrera singled in the bottom of the frame and eventually came around on Richards' third wild pitch to knot it at 2-2.

The Angels loaded the bases against reliever Sergio Santos in the seventh on Aybar's second ground-rule double and walks to Albert Pujols (intentional) and Ibanez before pushing across the go-ahead run when Steve Delabar walked Howie Kendrick on four pitches. Reyes greeted Smith with a leadoff blast in the eighth to draw Toronto even.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Richards allowed two runs but threw three wild pitches in seven innings while Toronto RHP Dustin McGowan permitted two runs in five innings. ...
