Mets 9, Marlins 1: Wilmer Flores belted two homers and recorded a career high-tying six RBIs while Bartolo Colon allowed one run over 7 2/3 innings as New York trounced visiting Miami.

Ruben Tejada collected two hits and two RBIs while Curtis Granderson matched Flores with three hits and knocked in a run for the Mets, who snapped their three-game losing streak. Colon (14-12) scattered 12 hits and struck out seven without a walk to earn his 203rd career victory.

Reed Johnson and Donovan Solano each registered three hits while Christian Yelich added two singles and an RBI for the Marlins, who have dropped five of their last seven games. Miami starter Nathan Eovaldi (6-12) permitted six runs and six hits over 4 1/3 innings to lose his sixth straight decision.

Johnson doubled in the third inning and later came home on Yelich’s infield hit off third baseman Daniel Murphy’s glove to open the scoring. The Mets answered in the fourth as Flores drilled a two-out RBI double off the left-field wall, Granderson followed with a run-scoring single and Tejada laced a two-run double to left-center for a 4-1 lead.

Colon escaped a one-out, bases-loaded jam in the fifth by striking out Marcell Ozuna and getting a fielder’s choice before New York broke open the game. Flores launched a three-run homer deep into the left-field seats off Brad Penny in the fifth and hit a two-run blast off the veteran right-hander in the seventh.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Flores recorded his first multi-homer performance, matched his six-RBI effort from June 2 at Philadelphia and is 8-for-15 with three home runs, two doubles, a triple, four runs and 10 RBIs over his last four contests. … Miami SS Adeiny Hechavarria was held out of the lineup due to a sore left shoulder. … New York CF Juan Lagares left the game in the fourth inning with a hyperextended right elbow.
