Marlins 5, Phillies 0: Tom Koehler scattered three hits over six solid innings and Jarrod Saltalamacchia belted a two-run homer in the eighth as host Miami toppled reeling Philadelphia.

Ed Lucas and Casey McGehee each ripped an RBI double in the fifth and finished with two hits and a run scored for the Marlins, who have won two in a row following a four-game skid. The Phillies were shut out for the 11th time this season and are mired in their second six-game losing streak of the campaign.

Koehler (6-6) surpassed last season's career-high total in victories in impressive fashion, retiring 15 batters in a row at one point. The 28-year-old struck out seven and three relievers combined to yield two hits over three innings to seal the victory.

After Donovan Solano opened the scoring with an RBI single to right field in the fourth off Cole Hamels (2-5), Lucas continued to torment Philadelphia in the following frame. Lucas, who plated the winning run in Tuesday's 5-4 victory in 11 innings, drove in Christian Yelich from first base before scoring on McGehee's shot off the base of the left-field wall.

Saltalamacchia provided insurance by crushing an 0-2 slider from Mario Hollands over the wall in left field. The blast was Saltalamacchia's eighth of the season and second in four games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hamels saw his string of quality starts end at six after permitting three runs on five hits while walking four in five innings. ... McGehee ripped a single to lead off the fourth, extending his hitting streak to nine games while also reaching base in a career-high 26 consecutive contests. ... Philadelphia placed Domonic Brown on the paternity leave list and recalled fellow OF Aaron Altherr from Double-A Reading.
