Marlins 8, Rangers 5: Christian Yelich went 4-for-6 with four RBIs as visiting Miami took the opener of a two-game interleague series from Texas.

Yelich singled in the tying and go-ahead runs in the seventh and Garrett Jones recorded a pair of RBIs for the Marlins, who improved to 4-2 on their seven-game road trip. Tom Koehler was knocked around for five runs in 5 1/3 innings but four relievers combined to hold the Rangers scoreless the rest of the way, with Bryan Morris (5-0) picking up the win and Steve Cishek working the ninth for his 15th save.

Robinson Chirinos drove in two runs and Rougned Odor added an RBI among two hits for Texas, which has dropped four straight while allowing a total of 36 runs. Jason Frasor (1-1) surrendered a pair of unearned runs to absorb the loss in relief after Colby Lewis was charged with three runs over five innings in the start.

Yelich put the Marlins on top 3-1 with a two-run double in the fourth and doubled again in the sixth before scoring on Casey McGehee’s single to right. Texas battled back to take the lead with a four-run sixth as Koehler loaded the bases on a hit-by-pitch, a single and a walk before Brad Snyder drew a bases-loaded walk, Chirinos delivered a sacrifice fly, Alex Rios scored on a wild pitch and Odor beat out an RBI infield single.

Rookie Justin Bour singled and Jeff Mathis reached on Odor’s error in the seventh before both moving up on a deep flyout. The Rangers replaced Frasor with left-hander Neal Cotts, who left a 1-2 breaking ball up enough for Yelich to rip it to left for a two-run single.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Snyder was recalled before the game from Triple-A Round Rock as Mitch Moreland (ankle) was placed on the 15-day disabled list. … The Rangers have allowed 25 runs in the last two days after giving up 17 to the Cleveland Indians on Monday. … Bour recorded his first career three-hit game and McGehee also finished with three hits for the Marlins.
