Padres 6, Dodgers 3: Alexi Amarista belted a two-run homer and Jesse Hahn tossed six innings of one-run ball as visiting San Diego snapped a three-game skid.

Carlos Quentin had two hits and three RBIs and Will Venable contributed three hits for the Padres, who improved to 29-4 when scoring four or more runs. Hahn (5-2) worked around four walks while yielding three hits and three relievers bridged the gap to Huston Street, who retired the Dodgers in order in the ninth for his 24th save.

Matt Kemp delivered an RBI single in the first to give the Dodgers an early lead before San Diego answered in the second on Amarista’s two-run homer off Dan Haren (8-6), who allowed four runs over four frames. Haren threw 102 pitches and failed to reach the sixth inning for the fourth time in his last five starts.

The Padres pulled ahead 4-1 in the fifth as Seth Smith hit a leadoff single and Chase Headley and Quentin followed with back-to-back RBI doubles. Quentin, who began the game mired in a 3-for-35 slump, added a two-run single off Jamey Wright in the sixth to push the lead to 6-1.

Los Angeles cut the deficit to 6-3 with two runs in the seventh and loaded the bases in the eighth before Carl Crawford grounded into a fielder’s choice against Joaquin Benoit to end the inning. Yasiel Puig had two hits and drove in a run, but his baserunning mistake in the seventh squelched the Dodgers’ rally and allowed the Padres to escape further damage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez missed the game with a sore right shoulder and is not expected to play in the final two games of the series. … Padres 1B Tommy Medica was unavailable due to tightness in his right groin and will likely miss the final two games before the All-Star break. … Padres RHP Blaine Boyer allowed a run for the first time in 10 appearances covering 14 innings.
