Angels 7, Astros 6: Mike Trout led off the ninth inning with a walk-off homer off Tony Sipp and Los Angeles handed visiting Houston its fifth straight loss.

The Angels tied the game 6-6 in the seventh on Howie Kendrick’s RBI double before Trout capped the comeback by blasting an 0-2 slider from Sipp (1-1) into the left-center field seats to begin the ninth. Joe Smith (3-0) earned the win with a scoreless inning for the Angels, who have won eight straight home games for the first time since Sept. 16-24, 2005.

Jon Singleton, Chris Carter and George Springer each homered for Houston, which lost for the first time in 10 games this season when hitting three or more homers. The Astros led 6-3 after erupting for five runs in the fourth on Carter’s two-run blast and Singleton’s three-run homer.

Kendrick went 4-for-4 and Albert Pujols homered among his three hits, drove in two runs and scored three times for Los Angeles, which has won four of its last five. Pujols’ two-run homer in the fourth cut the deficit to 6-5 and helped set the stage for Trout’s second walk-off homer of the season.

Rookie Kike Hernandez recorded his first career three-hit game for Houston, which has been outscored 40-16 during its five-game losing streak. Starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel returned after missing one start due to inflammation in his left wrist and allowed five runs on a career-high 13 hits over five innings.
