Dodgers 6, Rockies 5 (12): Scott Van Slyke scored on a wild pitch with one out in the bottom of the 12th inning to lift Los Angeles to its fourth straight victory.

Rockies pitchers retired 18 straight batters before Van Slyke singled with one in the 12th against Franklin Morales (6-9), Tim Federowicz was hit by a pitch and Van Slyke stole third and trotted home on the second offering. Carlos Frias (1-1) struck out five in three innings to earn the victory after Colorado's Ben Paulsen sent the game to extra innings with a leadoff home run in the ninth inning.

Matt Kemp, Van Slyke, Andre Ethier and A.J. Ellis recorded RBIs in a four-run fifth inning for the Dodgers, who blew a 5-2 lead. Adrian Gonzalez belted a solo home run while Dan Haren - the likely starter in Game 3 of the National League Division Series - yielded two runs and six hits in five frames.

Michael McKenry homered while Kyle Parker recorded his first major-league RBI the Rockies, who are 6-38 on the road since June 16. Rookie Eddie Butler permitted five runs in 4 2/3 innings in his third major-league start and is 0-1 with a 9.90 ERA in two games against the Dodgers.

Yasiel Puig reached on a fielder's choice in the fifth, stole second and advanced to third on McKenry's throwing error before scoring on Van Slyke's single. Van Slyke stole second and came home on Kemp's double before Ethier's two-base hit and Ellis' single - both with two out - completed the uprising.
