Rockies 10, Dodgers 4: Corey Dickerson belted a two-run homer among his four RBIs while rookie Tyler Matzek prevailed despite allowing 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings as host Colorado snapped a seven-game losing streak.

Matzek (6-10) improved to 4-1 with a 1.56 ERA in his last five starts after allowing two runs and striking out six as the Rockies won for the fifth time in 15 meetings with Los Angeles this season. Justin Morneau, DJ LeMahieu, Charlie Culberson and Michael McKenry also drove in runs for Colorado, which recorded nine hits.

Dan Haren (13-11) had his three-game winning streak snapped after yielding five runs in five innings as the Dodgers' lead over San Francisco in the National League West shrunk to three games. Yasiel Puig hit a two-run homer in the ninth and Justin Turner (three hits) also drove in a pair for Los Angeles, which had 16 hits.

Drew Stubbs started the Rockies' fourth with a single and Dickerson followed by crushing a towering blast on a 1-1 pitch out to right for his 23rd home run of the season to make it 5-0. Turner delivered a two-run double in the sixth before getting thrown out at the plate on Juan Uribe's two-base hit, and the Dodgers eventually loaded the bases with two out before Puig was caught looking at a 3-2 pitch that appeared to be low and out of the strike zone.

Colorado extended its lead to 7-2 in the sixth as Brandon League bounced off the mound to field Charlie Culberson's roller up the first-base line, but his underhand toss to Adrian Gonzalez struck Culberson, allowing two runs to score. Los Angeles escaped further trouble when Dee Gordon dove to stop LeMahieu's grounder up the middle and in one motion pushed the ball to the bag on the ground to Turner, who wheeled and threw to first to complete the inning-ending double play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Ramirez, who was scratched from the starting lineup because of a right elbow strain, struck out with the tying runs on base in the sixth inning as a pinch hitter. ... Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado (.287, 18 homers, 61 RBIs in 111 games) did not play after an MRI - ordered to check the severity of a chest contusion - also revealed he has early-onset pneumonia. ... Colorado (60-91) needs three victories in its last 11 games to avoid the first 100-loss season in club history.
