Phillies 8, Reds 3: Jimmy Rollins and Wil Nieves led off the first inning with back-to-back homers, and Marlon Byrd and Cody Asche added home runs later in the game as Philadelphia won the rubber contest of its home series with Cincinnati.

The homers allowed Cliff Lee (4-4), who pitched into the seventh inning and also scored the go-ahead run, to win at home for the first time this season. The former Cy Young Award winner yielded two runs and nine hits in 6 2/3 innings before exiting after 116 pitches.

Reds starter Tony Cingrani (2-3), who spent the last two weeks on the disabled list with shoulder tendinitis, allowed four runs and seven hits - including three homers - over six innings. Devin Mesoraco went 4-for-4 with two doubles for Cincinnati, which has scored three runs or fewer in each of its last eight defeats.

After the Reds jumped in front 2-0, Rollins drilled a 2-2 pitch into the left-field seats and Nieves tomahawked an 0-2 offering into the stands to draw the Phillies even. Lee singled and scored in the fifth on Chase Utley's groundout and Byrd homered in the sixth - an opposite-field shot to right - to make it 4-2.

Byrd added an RBI single in the seventh in advance of Asche's three-run homer against Manny Parra. Asche finished the three-game set with seven hits and six RBIs after entering 2-for-22 with one RBI over his previous seven contests.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The last time the Phillies began a game with back-to-back homers was on Sept. 9, 2004, courtesy of Rollins and Placido Polanco. ... Billy Hamilton had two hits and Brandon Phillips drove in a run for the Reds. ... Philadelphia heads to Miami for three games before returning home for an 11-game homestand. Cincinnati continues its six-game road trip in Washington on Monday.
