Angels 1, Orioles 0 (13): Albert Pujols slapped an RBI single to score Kole Calhoun in the 13th inning as visiting Los Angeles salvaged the finale of the three-game series.

After Hector Santiago (3-7) worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the 12th, Calhoun drew a four-pitch walk against Ryan Webb (3-2) to lead off the following inning. The speedy Calhoun scampered to third on Mike Trout's single to left field and came around to score after Pujols deposited a 1-0 slider into center.

David Freese collected four singles while Erick Aybar, Pujols and Trout had two hits apiece for the Angels, who moved within two games of first-place Oakland in the American League West. Starter Tyler Skaggs did not allow a hit over 4 2/3 scoreless innings before exiting with tightness in his left forearm.

Caleb Joseph had a single in the fifth inning and added another to lead off the eighth, but the Orioles mustered only three more hits and fell for the third time in 10 contests. Starter Bud Norris allowed eight hits over seven scoreless innings to settle for a no-decision for Baltimore, which saw its lead in the AL East dip to 1 1/2 games over Toronto.

Santiago, who scattered two hits over two innings, struck out Jonathan Schoop with the bases-loaded in the 12th to pick up the win. Huston Street retired the side in the 13th to secure his 28th save - and fourth since being acquired from San Diego.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Baltimore acquired LHP Andrew Miller from Boston for minor-league LHP Eduardo Rodriguez prior to the game. ... Orioles 1B Chris Davis had missed two games due to a stomach virus before serving as a pinch hitter in the ninth. He struck out on five pitches in that at-bat before walking in the 12th. ... Los Angeles continues its eight-game road trip when it opens a three-game set in Tampa Bay on Friday. Baltimore wraps up a six-game homestand when it hosts Seattle for a three-game series this weekend.
