Orioles 6, Rangers 5: Nick Markakis homered and drove in a pair of runs while Nelson Cruz reached base five times as visiting Baltimore extended its winning streak to four games.

Adam Jones had two hits and two RBIs while Chris Davis clubbed a solo homer to help lift the Orioles to their seventh consecutive victory over Texas. Bud Norris (4-5) gave up a season high-tying five runs in five innings before leaving with a forearm contusion and two relievers bridged the gap to Zach Britton, who notched his fifth save.

Adrian Beltre slammed a pair of homers and collected all five RBIs for the Rangers, who tumbled to their 12th loss in their last 16 home games. Shorstop Luis SardiƱas added two hits but also committed a pair of costly errors behind Nick Martinez (1-2), who was charged with six runs - four earned - on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Beltre answered Jones' RBI infield single with a two-run shot in the bottom of the first before the Orioles went ahead with three runs in the third on Markakis' leadoff homer, Jones' second run-scoring single and J.J. Hardy's sacrifice fly. Davis made it 5-2 in the fifth with his eighth homer, but Texas knotted it with a two-out rally in the bottom of the inning.

Mitch Moreland's comebacker hit Norris in the forearm, but the right-hander stayed in to face Beltre and promptly gave up the tying blast - Beltre's ninth homer in his last 10 games against the Orioles. Markakis knocked in the go-ahead run with a two-out single in the sixth off reliever Aaron Poreda.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Beltre registered his 26th career multi-homer performance and first since July 9, which also came against Baltimore. ... Orioles RHP Miguel Gonzalez underwent an MRI exam due to discomfort in his right side and was scratched from Thursday's scheduled start in favor of RHP Chris Tillman. ... The Rangers held a moment of silence for former manager Don Zimmer, who died Wednesday at age 83. Zimmer managed three other clubs in a 66-year career during which he also served as a player, coach and senior adviser.
