Orioles 4, Rays 3: Adam Jones belted two homers and Jonathan Schoop hit a go-ahead, two-run blast as visiting Baltimore edged Tampa Bay for the second straight night.

Schoop’s third homer of the season put the Orioles up 4-2 in the seventh inning and Tommy Hunter gave up a run in the ninth before notching his 10th save. Nick Markakis went 1-for-3 with a walk to extend his hitting streak to 14 games and Ryan Webb (1-0) pitched 1 1/3 hitless innings for the victory.

David DeJesus homered and Wil Myers had two hits while Ryan Hanigan and Sean Rodriguez each knocked in a run for the Rays, who have dropped all four games against Baltimore this season. Reliever Brandon Gomes (2-2) gave up two runs on two hits in 1 1/3 innings to suffer the loss.

Jones hammered the first pitch he saw from Tampa Bay starter Cesar Ramos in both the second and fourth innings over the center field wall for a 2-0 lead. DeJesus lined the first pitch of the fifth into the right-field seats to close the gap and a pinch-hit single by Rodriguez brought home the tying run in the sixth.

The Orioles responded quickly as Steve Pearce singled with two outs and Schoop lined a 0-2 pitch from Gomes into the left-field stands. Myers led off the ninth with a double, Yunel Escobar singled with one out and Hanigan followed with an RBI single before Hunter retired Ben Zobrist and Desmond Jennings to end it.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Baltimore C Matt Wieters had his sore right elbow examined by Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday, and reportedly will avoid a stint on the disabled list. Manager Buck Showalter told reporters Wieters will be back in the lineup as the DH on Thursday, as hitting does not aggravate the injury. … Orioles C Caleb Joseph made his major league debut, going 0-for-3. … Ramos and Baltimore starter Bud Norris each yielded two runs on three hits over 5 2/3 innings. It was the longest stint of Ramos’ career.
