Rockies 9, Diamondbacks 4: Nolan Arenado belted a pair of solo home runs and added an RBI double while Michael Cuddyer delivered a two-run shot as host Colorado erased a four-deficit to beat Arizona, which is off to the worst start in club history.

Charlie Blackmon followed his 6-for-6 performance by going 3-for-4 while DJ LeMahieu drove in a pair of runs for the Rockies. Tommy Kahnle (1-0) earned his first major-league victory with 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief after Jorge De La Rosa yielded four runs (three earned), four hits and three walks in 4 1/3 frames and 101 pitches.

Mark Trumbo homered for the second straight game and has four this season while Paul Goldschmidt went 0-for-2 with two walks and saw his 26-game hitting streak snapped for Arizona (1-7). Martin Prado had two hits and an RBI while Brandon McCarthy (0-1) allowed six runs and seven hits in six innings.

Trumbo drilled a 2-1 off-speed pitch over the right-field wall with Prado aboard in the third to give the Diamondbacks a 4-0 lead. Gonzalez walked on four pitches in the fourth before Cuddyer hit McCarthy's next offering out to right and Arenado's blast to center two batters later bounced in and out of A.J. Pollock's glove and over the wall.

Arenado's homer to left in the sixth made it 6-4 after the Rockies scored twice in the fifth. LeMahieu drove in Blackmon with a single and LeMahieu scored from first on Gonzalez's single to right-center when third base coach Stu Cole noticed the throw going to second base and alertly signaled for LeMahieu to keep going.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Colorado added a run in the seventh on LeMahieu's sacrifice fly and two in the eighth on RBI doubles by Arenado and Jordan Pacheco. ...
Blackmon, who tied a team record for hits in a game Friday, singled in his first at-bat of this one before he was retired on a groundout his second time up. His nine hits in two games ties a team record set by Juan Pierre in 2002. ... Prado returned to the lineup after leaving Friday's game in the sixth inning when he was spiked while tagging out Blackmon at third during a stolen-base attempt.
