Blue Jays 6, Rays 4: Maicer Izturis hit the tiebreaking solo home run in the ninth as visiting Toronto rallied for the second straight night in a game overshadowed by a grisly injury to Blue Jays starter J.A. Happ.

The veteran left-hander was struck on the side of the head by a Desmond Jennings liner with one out in the second inning and the Rays ahead 1-0. The hit, which resulted in a two-run triple, dropped Happ instantly and sent a stunned gasp through the Tropicana Field crowd.

The Rays finished with four runs in the frame to take a 4-1 lead, but the Blue Jays drew to within one in the seventh on a Colby Rasmus two-run homer and tied it in the eighth on a Jose Bautista RBI double. Izturis completed the comeback, drilling a fastball from Joel Peralta (0-2) over the right-field fence as the Blue Jays won their season-high third straight game.

Steve Delabar (3-1) earned the win with two innings of scoreless relief. Casey Janssen worked a perfect ninth inning for his ninth save.

Jennings, Ryan Roberts and Sean Rodriguez each had two hits for the Rays, who squandered a 7-0 advantage in Monday's series-opening loss. Starter Roberto Hernandez limited Toronto to a run on five hits while fanning seven over six strong innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The game was halted for 11 minutes as Happ was attended to by medics and removed from the field on a stretcher to applause from the Tampa Bay fans. Happ, who was charged with four runs on five hits over his 1 1/3 innings, was conscious as he left the stadium and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was in stable condition. ... Bautista finished 2-for-4, posting his second straight multi-hit game after failing to record one in his first 25 contests. ... Tampa Bay came into the series having won eight straight home games against Toronto.
