Rangers 15, Mariners 3: David Murphy and Craig Gentry each had two-run doubles and host Texas beat Seattle ace Felix Hernandez for the third time this season to tie the series at a game apiece.

Martin Perez (6-3) won his third straight start, giving up three runs on eight hits in seven-plus innings as the Rangers improved to 15-3 in their last 18 games. Gentry finished with three RBIs, Jurickson Profar had two hits and two RBIs and Adrian Beltre added two hits and an RBI single as first-place Texas remained 1 1/2 games ahead of Oakland in the American League West.

Hernandez (12-6) lost for only the second time in 15 starts, allowing five runs on five hits in five innings. He also walked a season-high five batters to fall to 12-19 lifetime against the Rangers and 5-9 in Texas.

Kyle Seager continued to punish Texas' pitching with a solo homer and RBI single and Brendan Ryan added a run-scoring single for the Mariners, who fell to 2-3 on their nine-game road trip. Seager and Ryan each singled in runs for an early 2-0 lead, but the Rangers went ahead for good with five runs in the bottom of the second.

Profar singled home the first run before before Murphy delivered a booming two-run double off the wall in center. Gentry's pinch-hit two-run double in the seventh made it 7-3 before the Rangers turned it into a laugher with an eight-run eighth inning.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Seager extended his hitting streak in Texas to 13 games and is 17-for-32 with four homers and eight RBIs at Rangers Ballpark this season. ... Murphy has at least one RBI in all four games versus Hernandez this season and has driven in 16 runs in 73 career at-bats against the 2010 Cy Young Award winner. ... Rangers RHP Alexi Ogando received an injection in his shoulder and was scratched from Monday's start versus Houston. RHP Matt Garza will start in his place.
