Rays 5, Mariners 4: Jason Bourgeois singled in the winning run with none out in the ninth inning as host Tampa Bay scored twice to end a six-game losing streak.

Ben Zobrist led off the ninth with a triple and scored on Matt Joyce’s single up the middle to forge a 4-4 tie. After Evan Longoria doubled and an intentional walk, Bourgeois lined a pitch by Danny Farquhar (0-1) over right fielder Endy Chavez’s head for his first hit of the season.

Wil Myers hammered a two-run homer and James Loney added a pair of hits and an RBI for the Rays, who moved a half-game ahead of Oakland for the first wild-card spot in the American League. Brad Miller belted a two-run triple and Kendrys Morales recorded two hits and knocked in a run for the Mariners.

David Price retired 12 straight batters after Morales’ two-out RBI single in the first inning before issuing a two-out walk and an infield hit to Humberto Quintero in the fifth. Miller followed with a line drive up the left-center field gap and came home on Nick Franklin’s RBI double to left to give Seattle a 4-1 lead.

Myers snapped an 0-for-15 slump with his ninth homer to pull the Rays within 4-3 in the sixth. Joel Peralta (2-5) pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the victory after the Rays left the bases loaded in the eighth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Price yielded four runs on five hits and struck out seven in as many innings as he faced Seattle for the first time. The reigning Cy Young winner has faced every other AL team (including Houston) at least three times. … Seattle starter Aaron Harang surrendered three runs and seven hits over five-plus innings. … Longoria recorded his first multi-hit game since July 29 with a pair of doubles.
