Yankees 4, Mariners 3: Robinson Cano and Lyle Overbay drove in two runs apiece as host New York rallied to beat Seattle and ace Felix Hernandez.

Cano went 2-for-3 with a two-run double off Charlie Furbush (0-2) before scoring the go-ahead run on Overbay's sacrifice fly in the seventh inning as the Yankees battled back from a 3-0 deficit to win for the seventh time in eight games.

Raul Ibanez clubbed a two-run homer and Kyle Seager had an RBI double for the Mariners, who saw the bullpen give up the lead after Hernandez went six innings and allowed one run on five hits while striking out eight. Hernandez tweaked his back on a fielding play in the sixth and was removed after throwing 97 pitches.

CC Sabathia struck out 10 and gave up three runs on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings. Shawn Kelley (2-0) retired both batters he faced before David Robertson escaped a jam when Justin Smoak lined into an inning-ending double play to set up Mariano Rivera's 16th save in as many chances.

Seager doubled in a run in the third to open the scoring and Ibanez took Sabathia into the seats in right in the sixth to make it 3-0. New York got a run back in the bottom of the inning on Overbay's double before forging ahead against Seattle's bullpen, helped by Cano's 345th career double that moved him past Mickey Mantle for eighth place on the franchise list.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Yankees LF Curtis Granderson was activated from the 15-day disabled list and made his season debut, going 0-for-3 with a run scored. Granderson had been sidelined since Feb. 24 with a broken forearm. ... Mariners CF Franklin Gutierrez, who has been on the DL since April 23 with a torn hamstring, will run Wednesday before a decision is made on the next step in his rehab. ... Yankees DH Travis Hafner will undergo an MRI exam for his sore shoulder and is expected to be out a few days.
