Dodgers 14, Blue Jays 5: A.J. Ellis homered among his four hits and finished with a career-best five RBIs as visiting Los Angeles throttled Toronto for its fourth consecutive victory.

Ellis was the catalyst for a 16-hit attack as the Dodgers cruised in their first visit to Toronto since 2007 and moved into first place in the National League West. Carl Crawford added three hits and drove in a pair in support of Hyun-Jin Ryu (8-3), who surrendered four runs on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings.

Josh Johnson (1-6) was torched for five runs on seven hits over two innings and left the field to a chorus of jeers from the Rogers Centre crowd. The veteran right-hander has allowed 12 runs over his last two starts spanning just eight innings.

The Dodgers broke things open in the second after Ellis blasted a Johnson fastball into the first row of seats in straightaway center field, scoring Andre Ethier ahead of him. Crawford and Yasiel Puig added RBI singles to cap the outburst, and Ellis tacked on a run-scoring single in the third to make it 5-0.

Toronto responded in the bottom half with RBI singles from Melky Cabrera and Mark DeRosa, but Ellis' third hit of the night drove home Hanley Ramirez to kick off a four-run sixth. Skip Schumacher added his first home run of 2013 - a three-run blast into the second deck in right field - in Los Angeles' four-run seventh.

GAME NOTEBOOK
: Puig's second-inning RBI was his first since July 4, while the single snapped an 0-for-12 slump. ... Ethier had two hits in two at-bats versus Johnson and is 10-for-17 lifetime against him. ... Toronto made five errors, one shy of the franchise record set May 13, 1982, against Texas.
