Matt Dominguez also went deep for the Astros, who pounded out 15 hits against five Blue Jays pitchers en route to halting a three-game skid. Starter Jordan Lyles (6-6) did the rest, allowing four runs on 10 hits in 7 1/3 innings.

Brett Lawrie hit a two-run homer while Edwin Encarnacion and J.P. Arencibia added solo blasts for Toronto, which lost its sixth straight to fall a season-worst 15 games below .500. Todd Redmond (1-2) was tagged for eight runs - seven earned - on eight hits over 3 1/3 innings.

After scoring single runs in each of the first three innings, Houston took charge in the fourth. Brandon Barnes began the onslaught with an RBI single, Villar made it 6-1 with his triple to the center-field gap, Grossman brought Villar home with a sacrifice fly and Jason Castro added a run-scoring triple off Blue Jays reliever Brad Lincoln.

The Astros reached double digits an inning later as Villar plated a run with a double-play grounder and Grossman followed with an RBI single. Grossman capped his career night in the seventh with a two-run shot over the left-field wall.
