Padres 7, Rockies 5: Nick Hundley hit a two-run homer, rookie Jedd Gyorko added a solo shot and Will Venable also drove in a pair to lead visiting San Diego to its fourth win in 15 meetings against Colorado.

Venable had three hits and scored twice as the Padres won for the second time in seven games while matching their run total from their previous three contests. Tim Stauffer (2-1) earned the victory with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief while Huston Street recorded the last four outs in order for his 23rd save in 24 chances.

Wilin Rosario delivered a two-run single - in the first inning for the second straight night - and Charlie Culberson also knocked in a pair for the Rockies, who had a four-game winning streak snapped. Jeff Manship (0-2) allowed six runs and eight hits in five innings in his second start of the season.

The Padres erased a 4-1 deficit when Hundley started a four-run second inning by driving a pitch just over the wall in left. Three batters later, Venable's run-scoring triple tied the game and Alexi Amarista followed with a single to put San Diego ahead for good.

Gyorko's second homer in as many nights sailed into the Colorado bullpen in the third inning to increase the Padres advantage to 6-4. Culberson's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fram cut the deficit in half before Venable's run-scoring single in the sixth restored San Diego's two-run lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Colorado's Michael Cuddyer grounded out to end the fifth inning in a pinch-hitting role after missing the last two games because of the flu. ... Venable and Rockies rookie Nolan Arenado (2-for-4) extended their hitting streaks to 10 games, with Venable matching a career high and Arenado increasing his career best. ... Padres starter Eric Stults yielded five runs, 11 hits and walked three in 4 2/3 innings. He also singled and scored on Venable's triple.
