Rockies 7, Padres 5:
Dexter Fowler hit two home runs - including his sixth of the season to break a 5-5 tie in the ninth inning - as visiting Colorado rallied for its fourth straight victory over San Diego.

Josh Rutledge followed with another homer off former Rockies closer Huston Street (0-1) and Todd Helton had three hits for the Rockies. Colorado tied the game at 5 in the eighth inning on Helton's RBI double and Wilin Rosario's run-scoring groundout.

Rex Brothers (1-0) pitched a scoreless eighth inning and Rafael Betancourt worked a perfect ninth for his fourth save. Yonder Alonso hit a two-run homer for San Diego while Nick Hundley doubled twice and scored twice on singles by Will Venable, the second giving the Padres a 5-3 lead in the seventh.

The Rockies scored twice in the first on Troy Tulowitzki's infield hit and Michael Cuddyer's bloop single, which bounced off the glove of a diving Venable. The Padres tied it in the bottom half when Alonso drilled a 2-2 pitch over the center field wall.

Colorado retook the lead in the fifth inning as Fowler's blast to center field brushed off the tip of Venable's glove. San Diego answered in its half when Hundley led off with a double and scored on Venable's single to right.
