Indians 5, Rays 0: Ubaldo Jimenez pitched eight shutout innings and Jason Giambi knocked in three runs as host Cleveland snapped Tampa Bay’s six-game winning streak.

Giambi and Asdrubal Cabrera each belted two-run homers while Jason Kipnis broke out of a slump with a pair of hits and two runs scored for the Indians. Jimenez (4-3) allowed only four hits – one to the outfield -- walked one and struck out seven while matching his season high with 108 pitches.

Tampa Bay starter Chris Archer (0-1) was roughed up for five runs on seven hits and three walks over four-plus innings in his season debut. Desmond Jennings recorded a double for the Rays, who had scored 42 runs during their six-game winning streak.

Nick Swisher walked to lead off the second for the Indians and trotted home after Giambi hammered a 2-1 changeup into the right field seats for a 2-0 lead. Giambi came through again in the third, singling home Kipnis with two outs as Cleveland increased its advantage to 3-0.

Kipnis, who came in 5-for-37 in his last 10 games, singled to open the fifth and Cabrera hit another high changeup by Archer over the right-field wall for a 5-0 lead. Jimenez allowed only a bunt single to Luke Scott through the first five innings and Yunel Escobar had an infield hit in the sixth before he was stranded.
