Mariners 5, Cubs 4 (10):
Mike Zunino delivered a ground single with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 10th inning as Seattle rallied from a three-run deficit to defeat visiting Chicago.

The Mariners loaded the bases on three walks – two by Blake Parker (0-1) – before Zunino hit a full-count pitch from Shawn Camp up the middle to score Michael Saunders with the decisive run. Yoervis Medina (3-2) pitched a scoreless 10th for Seattle.

The Mariners trailed 4-1 after 6 1/2 innings and pushed a run across in the seventh on rookie Brad Miller’s groundout. In the eighth, Kendrys Morales doubled in one run and Raul Ibanez laced an RBI triple to left off James Russell that eluded the sliding attempt of Chicago’s Brian Bogusevic.

Chicago took a 2-0 lead in the second inning, when Ryan Sweeney hit a run-scoring triple and continued home on Nick Franklin’s throwing error. Jason Bay got Seattle on the board with a fifth-inning homer before Alfonso Soriano and Dioner Navarro hit solo blasts off Hisashi Iwakuma in the seventh to make it 4-1.

Cubs starter Travis Wood allowed two runs and three hits while striking out six in 6 1/3 innings. Counterpart Iwakuma gave up four runs and six hits in eight frames.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Iwakuma has allowed four runs in three consecutive starts after giving up three or fewer in 13 of his first 14 outings. … Soriano’s homer was his first since June 8 and his 13th career blast against the Mariners. … Seattle recalled SS Miller and assigned INF Carlos Triunfel to Triple-A Tacoma while designating INF Alex Liddi for assignment. Miller went 0-for-3 with an RBI in his major-league debut.
