Cubs 4, Marlins 2:
Anthony Rizzo hit a pair of two-run homers in support of right-hander Scott Feldman and visiting Chicago won two in a row for the first time this season.

Rizzo, who came in hitting .173, hit the first pitch he saw from Miami starter Wade LeBlanc (0-4) over the center-field fence for a 2-0 lead. He added another two-run bomb in the third and later singled in the eighth.

Feldman (1-3) ended a personal eight-game losing streak and made his longest start since Aug. 4, allowing two runs and seven hits in 6 2/3 innings. LeBlanc allowed four runs and eight hits, departing after the first two batters reached safely in the seventh.

The Marlins threatened in the third when their first two batters singled, but Feldman got Placido Polanco to hit into a 1-6-3 double play to end the threat. Joe Mahoney homered to start the fourth for Miami, but Feldman then got into a groove and retired nine straight batters before needing relief in the seventh, when the Marlins scored their second run.

Darwin Barney added three hits for the Cubs and leadoff hitter Dave Sappelt had two. James Russell closed out the seventh inning for Chicago, Shawn Camp pitched around a pair of base hits in the eighth and Kevin Gregg worked a perfect ninth for his second save.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria denied a published report Friday that he requested the starting pitchers for Tuesday’s doubleheader against the host Minnesota Twins be flip-flopped so prized rookie Jose Fernandez could pitch in expected warmer temperatures during the day and disgruntled veteran Ricky Nolasco would pitch the nightcap. … The starting lineup for the Marlins combined for no home runs this season. … Rizzo’s eighth home run came on his 16th hit of the season and he has more home runs than the Marlins do as a team (seven).
